// pull here, load anywhere.
Name an image and get it back as one archive — ready for docker load on a machine that cannot reach a registry. Images are pulled for linux/amd64.
Docker Hub by default. Other registries with their host name, e.g. ghcr.io/owner/app.
Copy the file to the target machine. There is nothing to unpack: Docker reads the archive as it is.
The image keeps its original name and tag.
Makes the image available to every machine in the offline network. Replace registry.example.com:5000 with your registry and run docker login first if it needs credentials.
Archives are deleted from the server after 30 minutes. Only public images can be pulled, up to 4 GB each.
Podman loads the same archive with podman load -i.
